Got a ring from 01677547816 today, bloke with an Indian accent saying he’s from Virgin Media. He went on about my router throwing up error messages and that my internet speed was all wrong. Then he wanted me to visit a sketchy-looking website and do some stuff on my laptop, even asked me to install TeamViewer. Obviously it smelled fishy to me and I wasn’t falling for it. Still, I can see how folks who aren’t so tech-savvy might get caught out by something like this.
