Got a cold call from someone asking for Mariey, which is a pretty common name. It was definitely spam, so I’ve blocked the number and added it to the t####er app. Now it’ll show up as spam if they try again.

Today (05/12/19) at about 9:30 this morning, 01675488517 rang me. I was already feeling nervous waiting for a call to confirm my hospital appointment after a recent accident. I was quite anxious from the whole ordeal, so hesitant to pick up. When I finally did, there was complete silence on the other end before the call abruptly ended. Just thought I’d share in case it helps anyone else.

this morning a call came from a Birmingham number, i thought it could be the hospital so i picked up. there was some background noise but nobody said a word, so i ended the call. after seeing what others wrote, i decided to block the number.

Usually when I get a cold call, they hang up before the automated message even starts. If the message does kick in, I listen quickly to check if it’s someone I actually want to speak with, and if not, I just end the call. Since setting this up, I barely get any annoying scam or cold calls anymore, which is nice.

Answered the phone and before I could say much, they just jumped in - definite spam cold call. Had a strange foreign accent, kept asking who I was, mentioned something about bars or something. They tried to get me to do a quick survey, but I ended it then and there.
