@mate, sounded like he was from somewhere in India or nearby. The connection was really poor, and he asked if I was having internet issues, claiming he’d been "checking my modem on behalf of my ISP for a while now." I told him how lucky I was he called just when I needed help and cheekily asked if he wanted my password. Then he hung up on me! Such a pity, we were just getting to know each other. Pretty clear it was a scam, although at least his number was visible.

Some bloke from India reckoned my line was rubbish, like it was his fault or something. Total nonsense if you ask me.

Some bloke from India kept saying my line was terrible. What a load of rubbish! Definitely not the line, more like him messing about.

I saw the number pop up which is from New Mills, quite close to me, so I picked up. Nobody replied at all - looks like a typical scam call to me!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent calling herself “Ellie”, saying she was with my internet provider - total rubbish. Put them straight on block, number 7 now I think!

Got a call from a number on BT's call guardian but no-one said who they were. Pretty sure it was either a scam or some call centre trying to get info. I've just blocked the number now.
