I've been getting these quiet phone calls every day and it's honestly frightening. I'm quite elderly and deal with depression, so it's really tough to handle. I got a call from a lady with a kind of Asian accent saying she was from BY and that there were people trying to use our internet. She claimed they wanted to help with my internet security. I told her everything was fine and quickly ended the call.

so this guy with an asian accent rings me up sayin he’s from open reach about my internet problems or something. i kept the chat goin for ages, askin him how much cash he pulls in from all these scams. he goes on about bein broke and that’s why he’s gotta do it, even asked if i could send him some dosh. i just laughed and then he hung up on me.

some guy said he was from bt, but we use a different phone company so i knew right away it was dodgy. my missus has dementia and i look after her, so i told him to leave us alone and put the phone down. then he rang back two more times, shouting and being really nasty. it was proper upsetting.
