I got a voicemail from some robot voice saying I was involved in tax fraud, which is apparently a big offence, and it even gave me a case number that might sound legit to some folks. Then it told me to press 1 to speak to my case officer. I just hung up straight away. This kind of thing could really scare older or vulnerable people. I hadn’t come across this scam before, so just thought people should know about it.
