These people are total scammers, they ring up from loads of different numbers. They don’t even have a website which is a dead giveaway they’re not legit. If they call you, make sure you report it to Action Fraud and block their numbers.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from a "review team," asking me to verify my identity. When I asked where exactly this review team was from, the woman on the line quickly got quite rude, insisting she’d already told me and that I had to confirm who I was. I said no a couple times, and she just kept repeating how many times she had to say she was from the review team, sounding pretty annoyed. In the end, I just ended the call. Even though I’m signed up with the TPS, I get loads of silent or missed calls from this number nearly every week. Today, I actually answered and spoke to someone who said he was from the “review team” and wanted to chat about my life insurance. I kept asking for the company’s real name, but all he’d say was “review team.” I even asked if that’s how it’s listed on Companies House, and he said yes. I told him straight up that cold calling without permission is illegal and companies get hefty fines, but he argued it wasn’t since he was just one of 250 people making calls. I said I’d report it, and he just hung up on me. I double-checked and I’m definitely on the TPS list.

I've had calls where there's just dead silence on the other end - turns out it's some automated robot trying to make cold calls. It rings loads of people at once, connects whoever picks up first to a real person, and drops the others. Best to just block these numbers straight away!
