6 yearsI received a rather disappointing call regarding the internet speed I supposedly wasn't receiving from BT. The line was dreadful, filled with an incessant din from what sounded like a busy call centre in the background. When I inquired if they could check the account holder’s info, the chap claimed he couldn’t do that because of GDPR. He didn’t make any effort to authenticate any details whatsoever. Instead, he wanted me to describe which lights were blinking on my router. That was the last straw, and I decided to hang up. Be wary about sharing any personal information with anyone calling from this number!BT6 yearsDefinitely a dodgy call, totally a scammer without a doubt.6 yearsGot a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from BT, telling me there was a problem with my network. When I asked how they knew that, they just hung up on me. Proper rude behaviour!BT6 yearsGot a call from some guy called David claiming to be from BT Openreach. He wanted to "fix" my internet or something - complete waste of time, I reckon. If you get a call like that, just steer clear, it’s dodgy as hell.David6 yearsGot a call from someone with an indian accent saying they were from BT Openreach. I told them I use Virgin so there was no reason to continue and ended the call. Probably one of those dodgy scam calls.BT OpenreachVirgin6 yearsGot a call claiming to be from BT about my internet, but I told them I’m not with BT. They then said other internet companies use BT’s network. I just hung up though, figured it was probably another dodgy scam!BT6 yearsThe person on the line claimed to be from BT, stating they were performing maintenance on the internet. When I informed them that I wasn't a BT customer, they mentioned something along the lines of "other internet providers utilise BT’s services." It all felt a bit off, so I decided to hang up. Just didn't sound right to me.BTSubmit Your Own Report (01647 252812)
