I’ve had a rather dodgy call purportedly from BT tech support claiming there’s an issue with my broadband. They insisted that to keep my service running uninterrupted, I would need to download some questionable software. To me, it smacks of a scam-likely a ruse to install ransomware. They even threatened to cut off my connection for a fortnight while they ‘rectified’ the issue, purportedly caused by my router. Quite the con, if you ask me!

What a right annoyance! They’re trying to trick us into downloading some dodgy software under the pretence that it’s necessary for our internet to keep running. They say our router's the source of the issue and that without this fix, we’d be left without service for a fortnight. Honestly, if it were even remotely accurate, they’d just send a replacement router instead!
