She sounded like she was just reading off a script. I mentioned I was about to have my tea, and she said she’d ring me back in about an hour. I just left the phone off the hook after that.

I was with her when the first call came through, and she told them to buzz off since she wasn’t interested. But after that, different people from the same firm kept ringing her all day long. Eventually, she just stopped picking up altogether. She lives solo and really doesn’t appreciate those annoying calls, and neither do I. We’ve been trying to get their number blocked, but they just don’t seem to get the message.
