I got a call from a woman speaking with a Boro accent, telling me I’d won a makeover day for some contest I never even entered. She was quite polite and accepted when I said no thanks, but it definitely felt like a scam since she wanted my email (wouldn’t they already have that if I’d entered the competition?). I usually just ignore calls from unknown numbers and let them ring out to voicemail. If they don’t leave a message, it’s no big deal. I don’t really bother worrying about these calls or any costs that might happen from them ringing or if they have to pay someone to deal with it.

Got a call from someone who sounded Asian asking for the business owner. I told them it’s not a business here and they just hung up right after.

A gentleman with an Indian accent called and identified himself as a representative from a company called 'One Bill Telecom'. He claimed to offer extremely budget-friendly rates for a bundled package including landline, mobile, and internet services. Politely, I informed him that we had no intention of changing our telecom provider and promptly ended the call.
