DON'T FALL FOR IT! Make sure to block those numbers and send scam texts to 7726 - it’s not a police line but helps track these calls. Also, write to your Member of Parliament asking two things: why can’t we still report scams straight through the police’s 'Action Fraud' system? And why hasn't the phone companies rolled out Caller ID Authentication yet? It'd make a huge dent in scam calls. If you get scam emails or screenshots of these dodgy texts, email them over to the police at '[email protected]' so they can look into it. Stay alert!

I think this call came from some mobility company since I requested a brochure from them. I gave my landline number which I hardly ever use. Honestly, when companies say you can get a brochure, they really shouldn’t need your phone number for that. If I like what I see in the brochure, I’d get in touch myself. Now with all this pestering, I don’t fancy their stuff anymore.

From what I’ve seen in the other comments, I think this might be from the mobility company I asked to send a leaflet for my mother-in-law, but I gave them my number by mistake. My phone just blocks the call straight away, labelling it as potential spam. Because of that, I’ve decided not to deal with them and will probably go through Age UK instead for my mother-in-law’s needs.

The brochure showed up in the post after they called me, I didn’t pick up cause the number was unfamiliar. Guess we’ll find out how many calls I get now. i didn’t pick up, but after looking at the comments here, it sounds like it might be from the mobility company. i asked them to send a brochure for my parents and gave my phone number deliberately. i’ve just blocked the number now. like others have said, they end up bothering folks who aren’t interested at all. really glad i found this site, it’s a big help. just gonna keep blocking and hope this nonsense slows down soon.

I ordered a brochure from Mobility Showers and they started ringing me even before I got it. They kept asking stuff I’d already answered and I never asked them to phone me at all. Since November, they’ve been calling me like every couple of days, but never leave any voicemail. Honestly, I’m relieved I sorted it for my parents instead of them dealing with this nonstop pushy calling - they definitely wouldn’t have handled all that pressure over the phone.
