Got a call from some BT operator who said they were fixing my internet. They asked for my IP and to run a speed test. Told them I’m with Virgin Media, then they said Virgin had sent them to check. That sounded dodgy, so I just ended the call.

I got a call from a woman named Susan who said she was with BT and mentioned there was an issue with our router. She then handed me over to a bloke called Jamal. He wanted me to run a speed test because apparently, the router was showing errors on their side. I wasn’t convinced since everything seemed fine on my end. Then he told me to press the Windows key on my keyboard, which I realised might let them get remote access. I got suspicious, questioned him about it, and the call suddenly cut off. Definitely felt dodgy to me.
