These so-called ‘bank security’ calls have gotten sneakier lately - before, they rang from abroad places like Germany or the Netherlands, but now they spoof numbers right from my local area code. Honestly, it feels like the next step is them knocking on my door. Also, they’ve upped the fake sums they're warning about - now it's £700 or even £2,000 - but it’s not any more convincing or less risky than before.

I've just encountered what seems to be a fresh version of a 'bank security department' scam; well, at least it's new to me! I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. The sums they’re throwing around have gone up to £700 and £2,000, but it remains just as unconvincing as ever, even if it does manage to mimic the local area code. And can you believe it? I need to prove I’m not a robot just to report this robocaller. What a predicament!
