Looks like a total scam to me. This woman called claiming to be from BT saying my internet was infected. I reckon if you keep talking, they’ll try to get you to change settings on your computer or ring some other number. When I questioned her, she just hung up. She spoke with a heavy Far East accent and her English wasn’t great. Best to just ignore them completely.

sounds like a scam to me. some person with a foreign accent rang up claiming to be from bt openreach. they told me to switch on my computer so they could 'fix' my slow broadband. i just ended the call straight away. total dodgy stuff.
