they wanted to talk to "a director" and i told them i’m not allowed to pass calls to directors, then they just hung up on me suddenly.

I keep getting calls from people saying they're from the Small Business Federation or something like that, and they always try to trick me into connecting them with the MD. Honestly, it’s a waste of time - it’s never worked before and it ain’t gonna start now. I already know who’s calling and what they’re about.

I called and specifically asked to speak with the director by their name. When I was told she wasn’t available, I tried asking if there were any other directors I could talk to. But then they just cut me off and hung up halfway through me speaking. Really disrespectful!

Got a call from the Federation of Small Businesses today - they were pretty insistent on speaking to the director, but then suddenly cut me off in the middle of me responding. Bit rude, but at least it didn’t drag on for ages!
