I received a rather unexpected phone call from someone keen to chat about a mortgage that supposedly belonged to me. This individual claimed they were eager to assist me with it. I calmly informed them that I had no mortgage registered in my name. After that, I felt it was best to hang up as there seemed little sense in continuing the conversation with what most likely was a scammy caller!

Totally a scam! They said I'd applied for a mortgage or some life insurance, which I never did. When I asked how they got my details, they told me I’d reached out to them first, which is just not true.
