I got a call from 01634971241 earlier today, around lunchtime on the 19th of Sept. The guy said he was from BT and told me there was an issue with my broadband security. He spoke quite slowly and clearly, which was a bit weird. He asked me to look something up on Google but I was in a rush and told him that. Then he said he’d ring me back but then just cut the call suddenly. That made me think it was dodgy for sure.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, telling me my internet setup had switched from private to public and it was unsafe. They asked if I was close to my PC, but I said I’d phone BT myself since there's loads of scams going around. I ended the call while they were still trying to talk me round - seemed like they were attempting to sound genuine!
