I just ignored the call since there was no voicemail, figured it was probably a scam.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I hung back to see if they’d leave a voicemail. The message played all the way through, but honestly, I’m not even sure what it said - just sounded like a load of nonsense before they ended the call.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from BT about my internet, total scam. Funny thing is, BT doesn’t even service my area in Hull!

Got a call on my work phone claiming to be from Open Reach about some issue with the line. When I questioned her a bit, she got quite rude. I tried asking a couple more things, but then she just cut me off. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Totally a scam, so I’ve reported it and blocked the number straight away.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying they needed to transfer my service to a different provider due to issues with poor signal. The grammar was appalling, and their use of terminology was all over the place. It was such a pathetic attempt at scamming! Honestly, I couldn’t help but chuckle at how amateurish it was.

Just had a call from a woman with a thick foreign accent, said she was from BT. Seems like there’s loads of these calls coming through lately, and they’re all using different area codes.

Today, I got a call from a woman who didn’t sound local at all. She claimed BT was doing some kind of upgrade on my broadband and then started asking me stuff about my computer and how fast my internet was. I just told her it sounds fine and said I wasn’t really good with computers, so I’d let them get on with it and ended the call.

Got a text saying it was TSB, telling me that someone has spent £1995 on my card at IKEA. They asked me to ring a number they gave. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

a caller claimed they were with BT and wanted to know if i was the only person using the broadband or if everyone in the household was. they then mentioned something about my ip address being altered and that it needed reverting... i had a gut feeling it was dodgy the moment they opened their mouth so i just said i'd take care of it... yeah, right!!! after that, the bloke told me to shove off and just hung up!!

Got a text saying it was from TSB, telling me my card was used to make purchases at Ikea and to call the number they'd given. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with TSB, and there’s no way I’d spend two grand at Ikea! Definitely sounds like a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT saying there was an issue with my internet. I told them I'd get in touch with BT myself if anything was wrong. Before she could finish, I just hung up. This felt dodgy, especially since I’ve had this exact call happen previously. Total scam in my opinion.

I’ve had a barrage of calls today purporting to be from TSB, asserting that there’s dodgy activity on my account linked to substantial transactions at IKEA. Since I don’t even hold an account with TSB, it’s blindingly obvious these are just scam attempts.

Somebody's pretending to be from Microsoft and just wont quit. They rang me like 14 times back to back, acting like they couldn’t get the hint when I told them to leave me alone. Now they’re joking about it, saying “we got cut off” when they call again. It’s proper annoying!

Got a text from +447752709259 supposedly from TSB saying my card was charged £1995 at IKEA. The message said to reply YES if it was me, or ring the number if it wasnt. I haven’t phoned back, felt dodgy since I never have that kind of money in my account. Plus, the message said the money was already taken, not just an attempt. Definitely a scam.
