I got a call while driving, my car’s fitted with a Tracker system. Usually, the Tracker team contact me from an 0845 number, plus send a text that I can reply to later with ‘Yes’, and also an email. But this time, the number was 01634 810120, which I’ve never seen before. I couldn’t answer as I was on the road, and they left a voicemail, but when I listened to it later, it was empty. Since Tracker Network (UK) Ltd. is located in Uxbridge, Middlesex, not Medway, Kent, I’m pretty convinced this was a scam call.

Someone called claiming to be from Tracker. I told them I no longer own the car. They wanted me to verify my postcode and address, but when I asked them to read it out for me to confirm, they said they couldn’t. I questioned why, and a woman replied she just couldn’t. Then she requested my registration number, which I said they should already have. It definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call at 4:30 in the morning from someone claiming to be with Avast Security. When I told him I had no idea what he was talking about, he asked for my last name. Then he said he must have dialled the wrong number and hung up straight away. Honestly, it left me a bit wary.

Got a call from this number at 6:30 in the morning, left a voicemail too. Said he was running some check on the tracker for my Suzuki. Problem is, I don’t own a Suzuki or have any tracker on any of my cars. I’ve blocked the number now.
