The number showed up flagged as possible spam. When I picked up, I asked who was calling. They started talking about a £30 voucher offer, but I cut them off and said it was a scam. I told them I’d be reporting the call and made it clear they shouldn’t bother ringing me or have any of their mates call either, as I found it really annoying and borderline harassment.

I got a call saying I could get a £15 voucher for doing a survey on some product I’ve never heard of. Before they let me start, they wanted me to answer some personal medical questions about my household. They already knew my name too, which was a bit creepy. When I asked them which company they worked for, they just told me to check out a website called comfomatic. I ended up blocking the number.

I got a call from some disability service place trying to sell me a riser recliner chair and some kind of bed, then suddenly mentioned a £15 voucher. When I asked how they even got my number, the explanation was rubbish. Told them it sounded dodgy, then the guy said they’ve been around for more than 30 years and are in Cheshire. So I said, if that’s true why does my phone show the call coming from Medway? Hung up and blocked the number straight away.

Somebody called me saying I’d won a free voucher and told me they were from some company I’d never come across before. When I asked how they got my phone number, they insisted I had registered with them. When I wanted some kind of evidence, they just told me to send a letter asking for it. The woman on the phone asked for me by name and wanted me to confirm it (something I never do). She said her name was Bernie and was offering a voucher for an adjustable bed, valid for use in store or online over the next couple of years. I told her that since the shops are closed because of the pandemic, it’s not very helpful, and also that I wasn’t interested in an adjustable bed before hanging up. I think I’ve had a call like this before. Feels like some sort of scam to me. At the very least, it's just a pointless distraction.

Today, I received a phone call from a woman who specifically mentioned my name. I didn’t verify who I was and instead inquired about her identity and her employer. Upon hearing that, she abruptly disconnected the call. When I tried to reach the number again, I was met with a voicemail stating that the call was from Comformatic. Quite a strange and unusual experience, if I do say so!

You should really report these idiots to the ICO for breaking the rules with their cold calls. Check out the Google reviews for Comfomatic - they keep ringing numbers that are on the TPS list, which is completely illegal. Proper scumbags.

Barry from Conformatic Beds gave me a ring about their adjustable beds. I told him straight away that I’m on the TPS and don’t want any cold calls. I said I was about to hang up but he just kept going on. Eventually, I just put the phone down while he was carrying on with his nonsense.

Comformatic rang me again, asking for me by name. The bloke on the phone, sounded like he was from Liverpool, said he hadn’t called before. He reckoned I’d signed up somewhere so my number’s on their list. I’ve definitely never done that. Plus, I’m on the TPS and my number’s ex-directory, so these calls are just something I don’t want. If I wanted anything from them, I’d reach out myself. Chasing after customers like this feels a bit dodgy to me. Good companies usually don’t have to cold call like this.

A woman rang me, asking straight for me by name. I'm on the TPS list and my number's ex-directory, so I shouldn't be getting any cold calls like that.
