Some dodgy person claiming to be from Amazon’s fraud department somehow got into my Amazon account. They knew all my personal info and what I’d ordered before, even put an iPhone and some gift cards in my basket. Then they told me I had to install a bunch of apps on my phone so they could “stop” the purchase, but I knew something was off. When I said I’d ring Amazon myself to verify, they started acting weird. I ended the call and when I spoke to Amazon directly, they confirmed my account had been hacked.
