Got a call in the middle of the night from some bloke claiming to be Microsoft. I was half asleep and just snapped, “Not this rubbish again, buzz off.” He kept insisting he was legit, so I just hung up. Later I thought maybe I should’ve messsed with him a bit but honestly, it’s been ages since I dealt with one of these calls. If they start bugging me again, I’ll definitely have some fun with it. Just be careful not to get too nasty, you never know what might happen.

Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, saying he needed to control my computer. Thought I’d have a bit of a laugh with it. Ended up having a chat with him and his mate for about 25 minutes before he got fed up, swore at me, and ended the call. If they’re gonna try and scam me, I might as well make sure they’re tied up long enough not to bother anyone else. A bit of payback, I suppose!

I didn’t pick up so it went straight to voicemail, but I didn’t bother leaving a message. Checked online and saw it was a scam. They’ll probably ring again, but this time I’m prepared.

They somehow figured out my phone company but couldn't really give me a clear answer, just kept saying there was some kind of issue with the internet. The person claimed they were calling from Virgin, but once we told them we already phone Virgin, we just hung up. The place sounded like a hectic open office with loads of chatter happening in the backgrond.

Louise and a few other scammers clearly haven't got a clue about the proper procedures and formalities involved here.

My phone buzzed but when I answered, there was just silence. Honestly, I reckon the cops should really look into these sorts of calls.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, claiming to be from Microsoft. He used a very British sounding name but I doubt it was real. Said there was a problem with my computer. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he kept ringing me over and over from these numbers: 01633906845, 01615201907 and 01709248865. To get him to stop, I had to actually put the phone down without hanging up properly. Even then, he tried calling again. Feels like people who are less confident could easily get pressured into giving him their details.

I got a call in the late morning from a bloke who didn’t speak English very well. He kept talking about something to do with my computer. When I told him to stop bothering people and stop trying to scam them, he suddenly flipped out and started being rude.

Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media, talking about my internet service. Thing is, I’m not even a Virgin customer! The lady said her name was Yeni and she had an Indian accent. Quite odd.

Received a call from a woman with a foreign accent, claiming her name was Louise and said she was from Microsoft. She asked if I was the primary user of the computer. I said no and asked what she needed help with. Then she went quiet, so I just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

When I picked up there was dead silence, so I hung about for a bit. I could tell from the noise in the back it was coming from some kind of call centre. Eventually some lad with an Irish accent came on asking 'bout a laptop. Just as he was about to go on, the call got dropped. Seems dodgy to me, but weirdly they did know stuff about my flatmate.
