I keep getting calls from this number that seems to be linked to a whole load of dodgy scams. It’s unlisted, mind you, so I’m baffled as to why those behind it haven’t been caught and brought to justice. It’s about time someone did something about these persistent nuisances!

So it turns out I was owed some PPI reimbursement from Lloyds, even though I've never had an account or taken out a loan with them. I went ahead and requested them to send the cheque my way.

I've no clue who it could be, but with caller ID in play, I simply decided to let it ring. They didn’t bother leaving a message, which makes me think it can’t be anything legitimate. They tried ringing me again afterwards. Is that considered harassment? Not really, at least not for us, as we’re savvy enough not to fall for it, unlike some of the more vulnerable folks out there.

Ringing you up, then cutting off as soon as you pick up. It’s clearly one of those automated dialers that leaves you in limbo waiting for some representative. Reminds me of the tactics we used to apply back in my days at Yopa estate agents, but I can assure you, this isn’t related to them.

I don’t recognise anyone from Newport at all. It’s clearly some kind of scam. Thankfully, Call Guardian has my back and stops me from picking up these dodgy calls. It's unfortunate there's no way to give these scammers a piece of my thoughts!

Quite typical behaviour for these cold-calling outfits!
