A chap with a foreign accent picked up, and I realised it was time to hang up. You see, I'd fallen victim to a similar scam just a fortnight ago. They managed to access my bank account and shunted funds from one place to another, insisting that the money now sitting in my account was obtained unlawfully and I needed to pay it back. Honestly, it was shockingly convincing.
