I got a call from someone claiming to be from my life insurance firm. They started asking for loads of my personal info. When I asked why they needed all that, especially since I’ve been with them for 40 years and never had to share such details, they got rude quickly. Then they tried to get my bank info, and once I said no, they started swearing at me and slammed the phone down. Definitely a scam!

The lady on the other end spoke rather quickly and even mentioned an exact figure that I allegedly received. I made it clear that I wanted a written confirmation via email. Interestingly, she was aware of my email address, yet the message that arrived came from a different account than the one affiliated with WFAC, which I was familiar with. After replying to express my disinterest, my email bounced back not once, but twice. To add to the oddity, I got another call from the same number this morning, but I missed it as I was already engaged on another line. Perhaps the call was genuine and the woman works remotely, but I can’t help but feel rather wary about the rising number of potential scam calls these days.
