Got a missed call on my home phone and then about five mins later they rang my mobile. Picked up and they said it was about my pension and they were from Fcs. Told them they’d already rang a couple times and asked them to take my number off their list. Now I’m just waiting to see if they call back again!

They called me sayin they were from some Financial Compensation Service, asking about my pension stuff. When I asked where they got my number from, they said it was stored in their database. I then questioned how that fit with GDPR since I never agreed to be contacted, and then she just ended the call. So yeah, I reckon it’s some kinda scam.

FCS Claims is just a trading name for ARB Group Ltd. They got temp permission from the FCA since 01/04/19 - basically just middlemen and not really necessary. Don’t mix them up with FSCS, which is the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. That’s why I wanted to look them up.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, asking about some SAAS pension thing. No idea how they got hold of my details. I told them I’m out of the country right now and suddenly they just ended the call. Strange behaviour.

Annoying call - they didn’t bother checking any DPA stuff, and when I asked how they got my number, they just said “it popped up on the dialler”. Then I was passed to another person who asked me exactly the same questions. When I asked if he was just reading from a script and why no DPA checks had been done, he got quite uppity and said if I wanted to hang up, it wasn’t his problem, he was on the clock and would be relaxing tonight while my pension was at risk. Lovely people! Blocked them straight away!

Fcs claims my home number is listed in some directory and they say it’s marked to block calls. We’ve never even shared it with anyone. My partner does night shifts and the call woke him up. I couldn’t find any real info about them except some company in Australia. This number isn’t from Australia so I’m guessing it’s just a fake.
