Earlier on, I received a call from an unfamiliar number. On the other end, a gentleman with a pronounced foreign accent informed me that I was under investigation for tax evasion. He claimed to be an officer from HMRC and insisted he could take action against me. Clearly, this is a load of nonsense-it's nothing but a scam!

Just had a call from someone claiming to be from the Newport Passport Office. Sounded a bit dodgy to me!

I just got a call from what said it was Her Majesty's Passport Office, said to ring them back. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I rang the passport office the day before with a question and asked if they could call me back. They did ring me back, but when I picked up, there was nothing said and then the call just dropped. Quite odd, really.
