Received a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from the passport office. Just a heads-up to everyone - I ended up revealing my date of birth and address! Now I’ve had to notify the police, as I fear this information could be exploited to create a bogus passport. The only reason I answered was because I was expecting a ring from the upgrade department, so I thought it was them. Then I looked up the number and discovered it’s a well-known scam! I’m absolutely seething with rage; it’s infuriating! The authorities really need to clamp down on these fraudsters immediately!

When I probed for details regarding the passport in question, the caller refused to disclose any names. Curiously, she didn't even bother to ask for mine.
