I got a call from 01632960695, which I knew as they’ve rung loads of times previously. My missus picked up and chatted with the bloke in Bulgarian - he kept asking for me for ages but she just carried on talking to him. Honestly, it was pretty amusing.

I got a call supposedly from the DWP, they had my name and address right but then asked me to confirm my debit card details. They kept mispronouncing my name and only gave bits of info, trying to get me to fill in the blanks. Definitely a scam - I just ended the call.

Got a call claiming to be from hmrc but it was that familiar Indian lady on the line. Told her to do one and just ended the call. Number’s blocked now.

Some bloke rang me pretending to be from the working pensions about a 2.5% increase for me and my missus. Asked for our bank info. I told him if he really worked for DWVP, he'd know my wife passed away. Called him out as a scammer and he just hung up. What a waste of time!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from my mother-in-law's pension company. They were asking for her debit card information. Total red flag.

somebody rang saying they were from domestic & general insurance and asked me for my bank info, sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian. I asked if he was from the DWP since the number seemed familiar, but he said no, it was a travel firm offering me a free holiday to either South Africa or the Maldives! I was like, seriously? With the pandemic going on? Then I told him I’d checked the number and knew it was a scam. After that, he just cut me off.

Some bloke said he was from the DWP. I just told him nope, you’re a cheeky scammer. Then he dropped the call. There was another one before that had a load to say, but when I told him to pipe down, he got proper miffed and said “don’t tell me to shut up!” So I gave him a bit more of the old rude talk, and off he went.

I saw the number but didn’t pick up as it was unfamiliar. No message was left on my answering machine either.

I recently received a phone call from this number, where the caller claimed I ought to have received some correspondence regarding a rather peculiar 2.5% matter. I informed them that I hadn’t seen any such letter, and they continued insisting they were from the state pensions department. Then, somewhat abruptly, they instructed me to be on standby towards the end of the month. Before I could utter a word, they had already disconnected the line. Quite baffling!

A woman with an Asian accent rang me claiming to be from the DWP, insisting she needed my debit card details to sort out my pension. She mentioned that if I refused, I'd have to go all the way to Belfast to reapply in person. I really should’ve just ended the call then, but I ended up giving her my card details. As soon as I realised, I contacted my bank to block the card, but it had already been charged at some gambling website.

I got a call from an Indian woman initially, then an Indian bloke rang afterwards asking for bank info, saying it was due to the woman's pension going up and needed all her bank card details. I stepped in and took the call, and the man started getting quite aggressive. As soon as I mentioned the call was being recorded, he immediately ended the call.

I just got a call from this number, claiming to be from the DWP about some pension increase. When I told them I’m not old enough for a pension, the woman just hung up on me. Her way of speaking made me really suspicious that this was actually the DWP.

My 83 year old mum got tricked by someone who kept asking loads of questions till she felt pressured and ended up giving her bank info. Please, if you get calls like this, just hang up straight away. Never share any personal details!

Got a call from an Asian woman claiming she was from the DWP offering a service. She kept pushing me to listen. She mentioned loads of scam calls happening right now, but I asked how I could be sure this wasn’t one of them. Ended the call myself. Marking this number as risky because it felt off to me.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from some world pensions office. She wanted to check my personal info, even my bank details! I told her straight up I never share that on the phone unless I’m the one calling. The weird part was she kept trying to say they wanted to give me extra pension money? In the end, she threatened to cut off my pension if I didn’t give what they asked for. Seemed really pushy and kept tripping over her words when I questioned her. Definitely don’t hand over any info if this number rings you!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from the DWP. Said she needed to check my bank details and other info. I told her I don’t share that stuff unless I’m the one making the call. She went on about giving me extra pension or something, but then suddenly threatened to stop it if I didn’t comply. Seemed a bit shaky, kept messing up her answers when I questioned her. Seriously, don’t hand over any personal info to callers like this!

Got a call from 01632 960695, some Asian woman on the line chatting super quick. She said it was about a government pension raise but she was just pushing my 83-year-old dad to give his pension details and bank info. Felt like she was trying to trick him.

A chap of Asian descent called me from this number, claiming to be from the Department of Works and Pensions. He was rather pushy, demanding my full bank card details to supposedly arrange a weekly payment into my account. His tone was quite brash and discourteous, so I promptly hung up. Strangely enough, the same number rang again shortly after, so I answered but remained silent. Oddly, they didn't say a word either, prompting me to hang up once more. - Wendy Ralphs

I've been getting calls pretty much every few days from someone trying to convince me to renew my insurance, but I've told them over and over that I'm not interested. They just don't seem to get the message.
