I just got a call on my phone (which is on the TPS list) from some place called Pearl Services saying I'd been in a car crash that wasn't my fault. I told them I couldn’t even leave the house, so how would I be in a car? She just asked, "When was the accident?" I said, "If I’m housebound, I can’t be in a car, can’t you get that?" and then she hung up. I don’t usually pick up unknown numbers, but because of a health issue, I sometimes have to take calls from people I don't know. After reading some comments here, I might try answering but stay quiet to see what happens.
