Today, 20th June 2024, at roughly 12:15pm BST, I got a call on my landline from an unknown number, 01626821513. It was one of those robotic scam calls with a female voice telling me there were strange charges on my card earlier today. She said something like, “This morning you had a £300 purchase from Amazon, and another for £1100 through some overseas money transfer site. Since you’ve never used your card for these before, we think these might be fraudulent. Press 1 to cancel or 2 to talk to support.” It all just sounded dodgy to me.
