I received a call this afternoon from a number claiming to be regarding my MU pension, stating they were from Share Wide Pension. When I queried how they obtained my phone number, given that it's ex-directory, they quickly hung up after I pointed out they weren't associated with my pension scheme. It's incredibly frustrating that these nuisance callers continue unabated. I’m not in great health and neither do I wish to be bothered by such calls, a sentiment shared by countless others who are bombarded with calls and persistent spam emails, which seem impossible to block. It’s no wonder that vulnerable elderly individuals can become anxious and duped by such tactics. This is a matter that needs urgent attention from the government to firmly put a stop to it all.
