Somebody rang me spouting nonsense about a claim. They said a sum was being held by some third party insurers for a personal injury I supposedly had from 7 months back. I asked who these insurers were and they said they couldn’t disclose that because of data protection rules. I then challenged them to give me any details that could explain why, after 7 months, there was still no official claim made. That’s when their tone got a bit rude and desperate. I just let them babble away while I stuck the phone on the windowsill and got on with what I was doing before they interrupted.

This is the third call I've received from this number in just as many days. My phone flagged it as a possible telemarketer, so I chose not to answer. I reckon it's probably another company trying to get involved with a motor insurance claim I'm dealing with. Honestly, how do they even get hold of my personal number? I’ve had this number ring me up four times just today. Twice they hung up straight away, then once some bloke asked for me by name - how on earth did they know that?! That freaked me out a bit. When I finally answered properly and mentioned they’d phoned four times already, the person just denied it and hung up again. It’s really unsettling that this number seems to have my details. Someone should really look into this.
