Not long ago, I got a call on my home phone from this number. The caller ID was unknown to me. A lady speaking with an accent that wasn’t familiar asked if I lived at the place she named correctly. She was quite difficult to follow and kept talking about something related to driveways. I just said I wasn’t interested, ended the conversation, and hung up. My gut feeling was that it was some kind of scam.

Just got a call from someone who was barely understandable. From what I could make out, they were trying to say I’d won some sort of free prize draw and asked what I wanted. I didn’t let them get a word in and quickly said NO THANKS. Normally I don’t pick up unless I’m expecting someone, but I thought it was another appointment call. I do try to screen unknown numbers, and I’m signed up to the telephone preference service - though it seems to make little difference.
