Got an unexpected call from an unfamiliar number. The person had a bit of an accent and actually mentioned my name. Before I could respond, they simply ended the call. I’ve now decided to block them.

I received a call where the person on the other end asked, "Is this (insert name)?" which led me to believe it was genuine at first. However, they quickly launched into a spiel about life insurance, which set off alarm bells in my mind. I promptly disconnected the call, as I’m convinced it was a scam.

Received a call claiming to be from Royal London inquiring about my life cover – absolutely not falling for that! Clearly, it’s some sort of con. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. By the way, I’ve got a whistle handy; it’s quite entertaining to give them a blast down the line. They catch on pretty quickly, I must say!

I’m quite at a loss to discuss the number: 01625 801 501. The reason for my silence? My phone swiftly labelled it as “spam”, and in a clumsy moment, I inadvertently ended the call by hitting the wrong button! Nonetheless, I was quick to look it up, and it turns out this number has been flagged as a scam by both this site and Tesco! Just a word of caution—keep your wits about you!
