I reckon it’s a dodgy insurance racket. They were touting some supposedly fantastic life cover deal, but then hit me with an endless stream of questions. It felt like their goal was to pry into my personal life, so I decided to play it smart and fed them a load of nonsense instead, sensing it was all a bit off.

Utterly pointless call. They phoned, then abruptly disconnected without so much as a single word.

This feels rather dodgy, doesn’t it? The woman on the line seemed to be reciting from a pre-prepared script, and she managed to mispronounce my surname, which was a bit odd. She started asking for a “Mr xxxxx” and wanted to know when she could ring again. The moment I stepped away from her set questions, she looked utterly lost. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
