Got a call from someone claiming to be from a company named IMF about life insurance I supposedly requested info on for the new year? Nah, not buying it. Never heard of them before and I definitely didn’t ask to be contacted now or anytime really! Number’s blocked.

I can't seem to get them to quit! Had about 20 calls in the last day, like 3 of them came in between midnight and 3 in the morning. Turning my phone off isn’t really something I can do. I block one number and then a really close one pops up calling.

I’ve just received a call from this number, and it turns out they were attempting to peddle some life insurance offering. The number originates from Macclesfield in Cheshire, a place I have no connections to whatsoever. Honestly, why on earth would anyone be ringing me up? I've been inundated with calls regarding insurance products lately, and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating. I’ve lodged a complaint with the ICO to look into this matter.

I chose not to pick up the call and have now gone ahead and blocked that number. It feels like I get a fair few of these kinds of calls lately, but I always avoid answering since I don’t recognise any of the callers.

Proper pain in the neck. If I’m after insurance or something else, I’m not just going to grab it from the first company that rings me up. Also, hats off to the person who wrote on 15/07/2017 about pretending to say, "Oh thanks for calling, I’ve followed your advice." Genius! Sometimes I use a really weak voice and ask, “Can I speak to my mummy?” then go, “She’s not waking up,” and start crying like mad. Weirdly enough, they always end the call.

They rang me and said my name. I told them, “Oh my god, I’m so happy you called, I tried what you said but now there’s blood all over the place.” Then they just hung up. Haha, I’ve blocked the number now.

i didn’t pick up but found the number using 1471. the guy who answered sounded a bit shocked that someone had called him back and said he was looking for "esther smith". i asked what it was about and which company he was from, he just said “rhs”. i told him he’d got the wrong number and then he ended the call. supposedly, this number is meant to be from macclesfield.
