I picked up the phone earlier today and was greeted with a request to chat with someone who is no longer around. I nearly quipped that I didn't have the contact details for the afterlife! Can’t they check the local records of the insurance firm to see that he’s no longer with us?

Though I went ahead and renewed, I promised myself that when the next renewal came around and I had more time to spare, I’d explore other options. True to my word, I did my homework and eventually took my custom elsewhere. Now, it seems they’re eager to boast about their capability to stay competitive, yet it’s too late for them-#fail. They should have made a real effort to retain my business instead of letting it slip away.

Previously, they had a habit of calling around lunchtime, but today they switched things up and decided to ring me just before 9. Luckily, I didn’t pick up.
