Got a call from them about looking into a mis-sold mortgage. I checked with the FCA, turns out they’re being looked into right now. If they’re meant to be legit mis-sold mortgage solicitors, they don’t have the right FCA licence to do these checks for us. So basically they’re operating without authorisation. The FCA said they’ll keep looking into it, but up to now, they reckon these lot are probably scammers.

They rang me about 7 times over a couple of days. I told the bloke I’d looked up the number online and said they were driving everyone mad with all the constant calls. I blocked the number but then they phoned another 3 times from a different 01625 number. Had to block that one as well.

01625 342980 has been ringing me loads on my mobile. I picked up today and some bloke said he was from Assist, asking if my Lloyds claim had been sorted - I’ve never made any claim with Lloyds! Asked where he got that info from, he claimed it’s from a national public database! Told him it’s an unwanted call and I’ll report him - he got a bit angry and said go ahead, report me now if you want - so I just ended the call.

Whenever I pick up a call from an unknown number without saying anything, they usually just hang up. Occasionally, I get a text from them afterwards. If I do start talking, it just switches to a recorded message, mostly from some finance or debt advice company - which I really don’t require!

Just got a call earlier and couldn’t even get a chance to speak properly, this bloke said I supposedly had some Lloyds Group insurance at an address I used ages ago.
