I've had this number ring me about six times in just one hour, but they never leave a voicemail. Luckily, my phone flags these kinds of calls as spam or fraud, so I don't have to get annoyed. Seems like either some pushy telemarketer or a scam trying their luck. They can keep trying all they want, but I just won't answer. Hopefully, they'll lose interest after a while.

I received a rather overzealous and relentless sales pitch from a certain "energy efficiency" firm. They were rather keen on obtaining all my original documentation regarding my solar panel installation before offering a complimentary assessment of my panels. The caller was exceedingly condescending and seemed insistent on communicating via email only, despite the fact that I provided my address. It was quite the experience, to say the least!

In the last half day, I got four calls from a number I didn’t recognise, so I just ignored them.

Got a call from someone called Ross, said he was with a solar energy firm. When I questioned how they got my number, he claimed it was because I was registered on the feed-in tariff scheme. I then pointed out that since they had my number and name, they were breaking data protection laws. I asked for his full details and company address, and suddenly he got flustered and ended the call. Pretty clear that was a scam.

To top it off, they addressed me by an incorrect name and had a noticeable accent that didn't quite sit right with me. Quite frankly, I’ve had enough of these shady characters, so I’ve made the decision to block this potential con artist straight away!

Got a call supposedly from the fit scheme about checking our solar panels, but nobody turned up in the end. Seems dodgy to me. Always make sure to get some ID and if they claim to be from a company that isn’t linked to fit scheme, it’s probably a con. They’re basically tricking you to get access, which is illegal as well.

Absolute scam, these lot keep ringing non-stop and are downright nasty and intimidating. They phoned me three times running, all about some solar panel rubbish. We don’t even have any panels installed. My advice? Just cut the call straight away. And if you wanna be cheeky, go ahead and throw a few choice words their way! Honestly, the authorities should really step in - anyone trying to get inside people’s houses can’t have good intentions. They’re clearly targeting folks who might be easy to fool. Next time they ring me, I’m booking a meeting and having the cops ready to show up.

Had almost the exact same call as the one reported on 11/07. They kept pushing, hinting that I was meant to have had my inverter checked by now. They never said it outright, but it felt like if I didn’t let them in, my feed-in tariff might be in jeopardy. I finally hung up, but they rang straight back. Didn’t pick up second time round. Best thing to do is just block these annoying callers, or if you fancy, keep them chatting away so they're not pestering anyone else for a bit.

We got a call from a company wanting to check the inverter on our solar setup. Thing is, they were asking for a name of someone who hasn't lived here for ages - over 15 years actually - and that person didn’t even have solar panels installed. They said it was meant to be included with the installation deal. The bloke on the phone was pretty pushy about it. My husband went through the original paperwork and saw no mention of a three-year inspection. The guy wouldn’t back off and kept pushing, so in the end we just had to cut the call.
