No voicemail was left so I’m guessing it was probably a dodgy call! We just pick up for numbers we recognise and if it’s legit, they’ll leave a message. Doing this has really cut down the amount of scam ringers we get. If you pick up, scammers realise the number is active and might share it with others. Stay careful everyone.

Got a call from a friendly bloke about our BT account, but it turns out it wasn't right for what we needed.

Watch out, everyone! I have a strong feeling that these scammers were merely pretending to be from BT. This bloke actually attempted to connect to my router from afar.

We got a call at work from someone asking to speak to the person handling our BT account. When I told him we didn't have one, he seemed a bit awkward about it.

It’s just a telco firm, nothing dodgy going on. The person was quite courteous when I said I wasn’t interested in buying anything. They’re just doing their job, honestly, there’s a lot worse stuff happening out there!

Got a call on our landline from a bloke named Shaun, number was 01622585872. He claimed he was with BT and mentioned we supposedly had a BT account. We're actually based up in North Yorkshire, so it seemed a bit off to me.

calls never leave a voicemail on my bt call guardian, and the phone hardly ever even rings. seems like they’re not fans of how calls get managed. i’m guessing it’s another one of those pesky timeshare scams!

I got a call earlier but they didn’t bother to leave any message. My BT Call Guardian is set up to say who’s calling before putting it through to the answerphone, so I’m guessing they said their name to try and get past the system but never actually left anything. Sounds like a scam to me, these days they’re even trying to announce themselves to dodge the call blocking. I’ve blocked the number now.
