I got a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft support. I’d been struggling to activate Office 365, so when they said they’d call me back, I figured it was genuine. The guy introduced himself as Andy Parker, sounded Indian, but then he started saying I had to give my bank details and pay £2 to sort out some kind of security problem. That didn’t sound right, so I asked a few questions, and he just hung up on me!

Was quite worried when Denis left a message saying to ring back or else the Court would come after you for some Inrland Revenue business. Proper scary stuff!

I’ve had these calls too, just like lots of others. HMRC normally sends letters, they don’t ring like this. I wouldn’t bother calling back. Fingers crossed HMRC are looking into this already.

Got a call from 020 3286 7566 right after the first one, pretty much the same threatening stuff. Be careful and don’t call back to either of those numbers! Same kind of scam as the others people mentioned.

Total scam. Got a robo call claiming to be an HMRC officer, warning that if I don’t ring back I’ll face legal trouble. Honestly, don’t pick up or call them back. Just block the number. HMRC always sends a letter first, they never use scary automated calls like this.

I got a call from the number 01622371142 first, they left a sort of scary voicemail. Then like 5 minutes after that, 02032867566 rang with pretty much the same message. Going to block both of these numbers now.

Got a really unpleasant call from this number just now. Some bloke was saying I required a lawyer or something. I said I’d have got letters by now if that were true, and then he just cut me off! Plus, he was munching away while talking - so rude. Definitely blocking this one!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC - they mentioned a lawsuit with an address I haven’t lived at for yonks, but the postcode was all wrong. I asked them to give me their contact info proper, and then the call just cut off! Don’t give them any of your info, it’s dodgy!

I got a call from someone saying HMRC had taken me to court. Could tell it was dodgy straight away. When I said I wasn’t buying it and wanted to know what the lawsuit was about, they just ended the call on me! Definitely a scam.

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Dennis Grey from HMRC, said I needed to call back or face serious trouble. When I rang back, a guy named Eric Foster answered and even gave me an employee ID. He told me I was headed for court over tax fraud. I told him I never got any letters or anything in the post, and he said he’d call me again to sort it out. I'm planning to report this to the HMRC fraud department soon.

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be “Officer Dennis Grey” (oddly enough it was a woman’s voice), saying they were from HM Revenue and Customs. The message warned that if I didn’t call back, there would be “legal consequences.” Honestly, it was so laughable I couldn’t take it seriously.
