Got another call, second one in a day!! Absolute pains in the neck!! Sounded like some sort of automated message cos when I tried to cut him off and ask questions, he just kept going like nothing.

I just got a call saying "Good afternoon" when its 10 in the morning! They said there was a tax claim from HMRC against me but they didnt even know my name. I told them "right, sure there is!" and hung up straight away. Ive heard about these dodgy calls on the local radio and tv recently.

Got two calls from this number today, the message freaked me out for a moment, but I soon figured it was a scam since I know I don’t owe anything to HMRC. Wish it wasn’t some recorded message - I’d love to tell them exactly what I think, proper! Honestly, I’m sick of these calls coming in all the time!

Today I got a voicemail from some bloke in America who said his name was James Anderson - he claimed I was involved in tax evasion and fraud - told me he was from HMRC and I had to call him straight away - what a creepy guy!!! I have Asperger's and this really freaked me out and made me feel quite upset!!!

Yep, got a call from some Dennis bloke too. I’d just bought and sold a place, so I figured it might be about Stamp Duty or something. When they started going on about serious consequences, I knew straight away it was rubbish, but I can see how loads of folks would believe it’s legit. Proper glad I looked it up here first.

Just got a ring from this number. The guy called himself Bryan Hunt, but switched it up. When I said it sounded like a scam, he got all annoyed and cut the call off quick. Definitely a scam! He was reading out some long message and told me not to talk over him.

Ended the call straight away since I figured it was a scam. The voicemail was all automated and sounded really worrying - something about HMRC. They said to tell your solicitor and not to ignore it or there’d be trouble. Then they gave a number to ring back, said it was Officer Denis Gray from 01622370826. If it was real HMRC they’d send letters, not creepy calls. Total scam, for sure.

Beware of calls claiming to be from HMRC, like the one mentioned above. There’s been a rise in phone scams where the caller pretends to be from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. So I called back pretending to be DI ### Tracey from the Met Police, HMRC scam squad. He hung up pretty quick. "James", if you see this, I’m onto your game, and I’ll track you down, trust me.
