I recently received a message on my answering machine that I promptly deleted as it was quite distasteful. There were even threats made that immediate legal action would be taken if I didn't respond. The moment I picked up the phone, an automated voice came on warning me about some urgent legal action against me, saying I had to ring back without delay or face serious trouble. It wasn’t until the very last part of the message that the caller claimed to be Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. A quick search shows this Jennifer character has been relentlessly phoning loads of people from all kinds of numbers using this same intimidating scam.
