Could you kindly refrain from contacting me again? I have absolutely no interest in whatever it is you’re trying to promote. Thank you!

Beware of fraudulent loft insulation grants!
2 years
I received a call from a chap asserting he was my nearby energy consultant, going on about loft insulation and overall energy efficiency. He inquired whether I owned the property and then proceeded to ramble on about our loft. Honestly, I have my doubts about his authenticity!

This is clearly not a local number; it’s from an energy supplier! How on Earth can they claim to be local? This nonsense has to come to an end! It’s ridiculous that they’re allowed to use local digits and mislead us like this!

I picked up the phone thinking it was a local number (our area code is 01622 as well). There was a brief pause, and then all I got was silence before the call just cut off on me.

We overlooked it initially since we didn’t recognise the number. Now, however, we're quite relieved we gave it a look!

I received a call from an “energy supplier” who claimed I was the owner of my property, to which I promptly refuted. Before I could say much more, he hung up on me! Quite the strange encounter, I must say.

I've received multiple calls purporting to be from my energy provider.

I received a call from a chap purporting to be from my energy provider. When I mentioned I would transfer the call to my husband, he abruptly ended the conversation. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

A chap in his thirties, sporting a distinctive English twang, is masquerading as a representative from an energy company.

I didn’t pick up as I was fast asleep when the call came through! But from what I’ve gathered, it seems to be one of those scams! O00

Received a call from this number for the third occasion now. This time, there was finally someone on the other end. He introduced himself as an energy consultant. I pointed out that he sounded like a con artist, and he promptly hung up.

I picked up the call, and there was a moment of utter static, sounding like a crossed line, before it promptly went silent. That's the second time I've received a call from this number. The first time, it was even stranger—nobody said a thing and the line cut off almost straight away. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

He claimed to be an energy consultant and started asking how I was doing today. I abruptly yelled into the receiver, "No, I'm not interested!" and he promptly hung up.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with an energy firm, though I didn’t quite catch which one. When I probed a bit further about their identity, they abruptly hung up after asking how my day was going. Sounds very much like a scam to me! This isn't the first time they’ve rung me, and they've a habit of not leaving any voicemails when I miss their calls.

I answered the call, yet there was silence on the other end.

A bloke rang me claiming to be my local energy consultant, but I just ended the call. This isn’t the first time I've had one of these calls, so I'm quite fed up with it.

He claimed to be a local energy efficiency rep and insisted he was aware that I owned the property. When I probed him about which homeowner he was referring to, all he could muster was a rather vague, ‘well, thank you for your time.’ I promptly labeled him a scammer and cut the call short. Honestly, do people really fall for these dodgy tricks?
