Got called twice today from this number. A few weeks ago, the same voice popped up but using a 01202 code - obviously not their real line. I’m certain it’s a scam, but the weird bit is every time they ring, my internet cuts out for like 2-3 minutes. Don’t really get what’s going on there.

Got a call on my landline from the same prerecorded voice as a few weeks back, saying they’re from "your area’s energy supplier, consultant for your postcode." They asked if I owned the house. I just cut them off - total scam, watch out!

This number has called me twice this afternoon. The second time, a supposedly genuine bloke cut off a recorded message halfway through, saying he was "Tom from your neighbourhood energy advisors" and was ringing back about loft insulation supposedly installed with a Government scheme. I told him I had no idea what he meant and asked how he got my details since I never contacted them. Then he just dropped the call. Totally dodgy!

My landline rang earlier and when I picked up, I kept quiet. The bloke launched into some spiel about an energy saving scheme or something, but I wasn’t really paying attention. Then he asked if I was the person who lived there. I didn’t respond at all, just stayed silent, and after a few "hello?"s, he just hung up. If you say ‘yes’ to these types of questions and they turn out to be scammers, they could have a voice recording of you agreeing and might try to use it to steal your info. Even if he wasn't a scammer, I really don’t want any unexpected calls like that.

01622 is the Maidstone area, where Energy Helpline is based, so chances are it’s them ringing. From what I’ve seen, they’re one of the worst for cold calling about energy deals and refuse to remove your number from their auto dial lists even if you tell them repeatedly. A few years ago they kept calling my work line nonstop and I eventually had to get a new number just to stop it.

Got a call, no one spoke at first then a bloke with a posh English accent said, "Hello, I’m Dan, calling about your cavity wall insulation.” I just burst out laughing and told him he must be having a laugh since it was done ages ago, like 40 years back! I asked what he was actually selling and then he just hung up on me.

I got a call from a firm named Digital Marketing Solutions, but when I checked, it turns out that company was shut down back in May 2017! Seems dodgy to me, so I just blocked the number straight away. Definitely feels like a scam in my opinion.

Got a call on my home phone today, 17th June, but no one picked up. Just one of those irritating dead air calls that drive me mad. Really wish BT or Ofcom would be able to trace these nuisances and take legal action since these calls are now illegal.

I reckon this was maybe a bot call, though it sounded pretty genuine. I got the exact same message and voice before, but from another phone number. It was about loft insulation or some kind of energy scam. A mate from around here got the same ring and told me it’s definitely a bot. If you play along, they then send a “real” person to try and flog you energy-related stuff. The bot tries to mention your postcode area but somehow can’t actually say which one you’re in!

Reading through the other reviews, I reckon it’s the same lot that contacted me a couple of days back claiming to be from an energy provider, asking if I was the account holder. When I said no, they just said thanks and hung up. Strange behaviour!
