I received a call from 01619747900 around 11:00 this morning. Initially, there was a brief pause before the caller identified himself as being from AO, requesting that I verify my address. I prompted him to continue, but he insisted that I provide the information instead. I firmly refused, explaining that I had no intention of disclosing my personal details to someone who just rang me out of the blue. He then mentioned that if I didn’t confirm my address, they would send an email instead. I highlighted that their confirmation email already contained the accurate details. Let me be clear: I will NEVER disclose my address, account information, or passwords to anonymous callers. It’s important to remember that Caller ID can easily be manipulated!

Got a call from ao.com checking on a recent order. They also tried pushing me their insurance plan and mentioned they’d take my old appliance off my hands for free. That saved me about £20 compared to what I’d pay online or if I took it myself to the recycling spot. All in all, quite a handy call.

It appears I've fallen into the same trap! Had a couple of white appliances delivered today, and when I called to confirm the one-year warranty, they were keen to pressure me into purchasing an extended warranty! I let them know I have a system in place where all my items automatically come with extended manufacturer's warranties, and ever since, my phone has been bombarded with calls! It’s quite disappointing because their service was top-notch and the products were just what I anticipated for the price. This certainly doesn’t inspire me to shop with them again. I've gone ahead and blocked that number on my phone. Take heed, folks: don’t reveal your actual home phone number to these companies; just use your mobile or create a fictitious one instead! Cheers, Merchant.

Got a call about 10 minutes after I ordered a fridge. The guy was really polite, just double checking the delivery details and tried to pitch some insurance, but I said I've already got cover so he didn’t push it. He also offered to pick up my old fridge for free, which I thought was pretty decent since that usually costs an extra £25.

It seems I’ve had a similar experience. After ordering with AO, my mobile started ringing off the hook with calls. Luckily, I must’ve bungled my landline number because I didn’t receive any calls there. I definitely won’t be considering this company again - the callers remain a mystery.

I bought a new fridge freezer from these lot on Wednesday and by Friday I'd already had like 12 calls on my landline and another 10 on my mobile. They sent me an email confirming the delivery, so the calls are completely unnecessary. They also kept trying to get me to buy insurance. Honestly, it's pretty annoying and doesn't look good for their company at all. Definitely makes me think twice about buying from them again.

This number has called me about 15 times on my mobile in just 4 days, and loads on my home phone too. I’ve ordered quite a bit from AO and was waiting for my delivery next week, but these constant calls are really putting me off cancelling. If I wanted a warranty, I’d have clicked the option - it’s right there on the payment screen, impossible to miss. I always thought AO were pretty decent until these calls began. I did pick up once and said I wasn’t interested, yet they’ve kept ringing non stop! Definitely not happy with AO right now!

In the past four days, this number has bombarded me with a staggering 15 missed calls on my mobile alone, not to mention the numerous attempts they've made on my landline. I've recently placed a substantial order with AO and was eagerly anticipating my delivery next week. Yet, this incessant ringing is urging me to rethink my purchase! If I had wanted warranty details, I would have surely clicked that option-it was prominently displayed on the payment page, very hard to overlook! I used to hold AO in high regard, but these relentless calls have really soured my experience. I even took the time to answer once and expressed my disinterest, but they haven’t taken the hint. This certainly isn’t the customer service I expected from AO!

Five years back, we had no issues with our white goods; they were all running smoothly. However, I recently ordered a new appliance and now I'm bombarded with calls every couple of hours! It's quite frustrating dealing with AO this time around. As others have mentioned, if it's urgent, they should leave a message, especially since my mobile just redirects to the landline, resulting in that irritating bleep every time. Absolutely not chuffed!

This number has called me 7 times within just a day and a half, so I looked it up online to see who they were. Glad I checked, 'cause I can't stand those annoying calls or anyone trying to sell me stuff. I'm just gonna wait for my delivery, then get in touch with AO.com and ask them to stop calling me, or I’ll have to report them to the Ombudsman. I usually only give my number to mates, and only agreed this time 'cause they said they needed to text delivery details. Feels a bit sneaky! AO.com is usually a decent retailer, but this kind of pushy behaviour really lets them down.

It’s AO. We got a washing machine just yesterday and already had like 9 calls in a day trying to push insurance on us, or as the AO bloke put it, ‘a protection plan, pretty much the same thing’. This morning, I received my order from AO delivered promptly. About two hours later, just half an hour after the delivery, my landline rang. I let the answerphone kick in, and the caller promptly hung up. Moments later, my mobile buzzed, but I chose not to pick up. If it’s true what others have said, and they’re just trying to peddle extended warranties, I won’t be interested at all since my new purchase comes with a decade’s worth of manufacturer’s warranty. Just to note, the call was from AO.com.

Bought a tumble dryer from AO.com last week. I’ve dealt with them before and know how tricky it can be to get off the phone once you say no to insurance. They try to pass it off as ‘confirming your delivery details,’ so I just ignored the calls - and sure enough, my dryer arrived at the right place without any issues. But even after it was delivered, the calls kept coming, trying to push insurance again. I’ve blocked that number now. And guess what? They’ve started ringing from a different one, so I’ll be blocking that too. Come on AO, get the hint!

Got a washing machine from AO.com and then they started hassling me about insurance for £5.99 a month or something. I told them no thanks, AO.com already charged enough. Ever since I placed an order with AO yesterday, I’ve been inundated with calls from this number on both my home and mobile phones. The moment I pick up, the line goes silent, only for the other phone to start ringing straight away. Today, my landline rang at 11:49 and then again at 17:48. I did manage to answer one around 14:54, but there was no one on the other end. Just yesterday (04/12/16), I picked up a call at 14:20 on my landline, but again, there was no voice. Immediately after, my mobile started ringing. I've received four calls on my mobile today alone, the last one just about ten minutes ago, as it’s now 18:02. What a charming strategy to boost customer loyalty!

Absolutely, AO.com seems to have a rather straightforward approach when it comes to purchasing extended warranty and insurance options. They make it quite evident during the transaction that you can opt for additional cover, so if we choose not to include it, it should be perfectly apparent that it's not something we're interested in. It's incredibly frustrating receiving those nuisance follow-up calls. They often start off under the guise of confirming your address, only to swiftly shift gears into a full-blown sales pitch, almost implying that opting out of extended protection makes one less savvy. Should anyone from AO happen to come across this, I’d strongly urge you to pass on that this method of outreach isn't exactly creating a positive impression.

I didn’t pick up the call after looking it up here first. And yep, I’d just bought stuff off AO. Not the best look for them if they’re using my details for anything other than delivery updates.

Yeah, it was AO, but they didn’t try to sell me any insurance or anything. They just said they’d take the old freezer away for free, which was nice, and I got £15 off ‘cause they matched the price. Overall, it was a pretty decent call. They just phoned to check my address and delivery details.

I reckon it was AO.com who called me after I bought something, but I didn’t get the insurance with it.

I've received numerous calls from this number, which I’ve since discovered belongs to AO. However, if they’re unable to leave a message, it clearly isn’t anything urgent!

I just say yes to confirm my order and then they start tryin’ to sell extended warranties or extra insurance. I simply tell them I’m not interested in any extras and thanks, then hang up. That’s usually the end of the calls and the annoying ringin’ stops quick.

AO has been ringing me nonstop trying to push insurance. I’ve had seven calls from them just this week!

I recently purchased a refrigerator and received a call from them in less than thirty minutes. I tend to ignore unfamiliar numbers since I get inundated with junk calls. So, I ended up blocking it. Poor show, AO… really not impressed. - caller: AO

Got a ring about 10 mins after I ordered a dishwasher from AO. I thought it was some hotel in Manchester calling, so I picked up. They were alright and accepted my ‘no’ pretty quickly, didn’t push much. Still, annoying that they bothered calling me in the first place.

I bought something from AO recently and then got a call from this number pushing insurance. The caller was really pushy, kept asking for my bank details over and over.

Beware, it was just a spammy sales call pretending to be a nice delivery confirmation. Don’t let it trick you.

Got a call from AO pushing extra services for something I'd bought off their site. They were keen to get me to add on stuff like insurance, installation, and even removing my old appliance.

I had a similar experience; placed my order with AO at precisely 1:15 PM, and then received a call at 2:21 PM. I didn’t hesitate to block the number right away. - caller: AO.com

Got a call from AO wanting to pitch insurance for an appliance that’s actually arriving tomorrow. Don’t see how that’s relevant to the delivery at all.

Yeah, I bought something from ao in January last year and they called me in February trying to push insurance on me - I guess that’s why I got a call from them this morning as well.

Got a washer dryer from Ao yesterday. Didn’t go for the insurance though, so reckon this might be them calling. Not answering for sure. Used an old landline number so they won’t get through!

Just received a delivery from AO.com an hour back, and lo and behold, my phone started buzzing off the hook! Both my home and mobile rang with the same number, but I opted to ignore the calls. They've now found themselves unceremoniously added to my block list. - Caller: AO.com

Checked this site before doing anything. Yep, I bought something off Ao three days back and if this is about my delivery, I’m guessing they’d leave a voicemail or send a text, so I’m not gonna pick up.

I just placed an order with AO and they called me, but no one answered on the other end. If they call again, I'll cancel the whole thing and maybe report AO. Honestly, lucky I didn't hand over my home phone number.

Absolutely just placed an order with AO and received a call-was met with silence on the other end. If they ring me again, I’ll be tempted to cancel my order and report AO directly. Thank goodness I didn’t provide them with my home phone number!

Same thing happened to me. My lad told me they keep ringing after you buy something 'cos it happened to him. I got something earlier this week and already got three calls on my mobile but didn’t pick up. I reckon if it was about the delivery they'd leave a voicemail or text me, so once my washing machine arrives I’m just gonna block that number.

About 10 minutes after I placed an order for an oven, AO began ringing me non-stop on both my mobile and landlines. This seemed familiar because the last time I bought from them, I ended up having to threaten them to get them to stop pestering me with calls.

so i bought a cooker yesterday evening, and already my phone’s been bombarded with silent calls on both my mobile and landline. I just hopped onto my AO account and switched my landline number out for their company number (01619757900). didn’t want to change my mobile just in case I actually need to get a proper call, but fingers crossed this stops them from passing on the landline - though i guess it might be too late for that... :(

I made a purchase from AO.com on the 27th of November 2015, and during the period from Friday the 31st until the 3rd of December, I was plagued with five calls from this number, all at various times, yet not one of them bothered to leave a message. On the two occasions I did answer, the line went silent as they hung up! What’s the deal with that? If it’s related to insurance, one would think they could wait until I've actually got the items before bombarding me, right?

Just bought a washing machine today from AO and within half an hour, I get calls on both my mobile and landline. Every time I pick up, they just put the phone down straight away. It's happened like 4 times already today! Not sure I’ll be dealing with them again if this is how they treat customers. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

I think it’s probably AO calling since I recently bought a washing machine from them. I’ve picked up quickly but the line just cuts out, which is a bit odd if they’re meant to be selling you an extended warranty. I’m just gonna leave it be - if they need to confirm delivery, they can drop me an email instead.

I just ordered something from AO.com and saw I missed a call from this number. Makes me wonder if their stuff always messes up and they’re just trying to sell extra insurance. Should I even bother with the order if I’ll have to buy extra cover? They were lucky I didn’t pick up or I’d have given them a piece of my mind about how reliable their products actually are!

Yesterday I bought a fridge and today I've already had a couple of silent calls from AO. I rang them back using their number and spoke to a polite guy who was helpful, but he accidentally added a £6.99 warranty on the order. I said no thanks, but if I hadn’t stopped him, I reckon they’d have signed me up without asking. Watch out for this.

Once my order arrives, I’m going to block the number on my phone and just ignore the landline. They might be good for shopping with, but these constant calls are really irritating. They seriously need to fix this!
