Some bloke called me claiming to be Eric from BT, said he worked in a call centre. I told him I don't use BT at all. Then he started going on about my router being insecure or something. I just cut him off, told him I’d inform my provider’s tech team that this ‘Eric’ on 0161 9645587 reckons there’s an issue.

I think they just want you to talk to them, it's some kind of new scam that’s going around. Better not say anything to those calls.
