Reports on phone number 01619519924
10 yearsThis number keeps ringing incessantly. A chap with a foreign accent claims to be associated with HSBC. We’re currently overdrawn with them, and it seems they’re piling on the interest. This individual queried us about our earnings and even asked for details related to another bank, including card and account information. It was rather unsettling, to say the least. When we mentioned we were dealing with this via Citizens Advice, she appeared to disregard our statement and continued with her line of questioning. We eventually hung up. I’d strongly advise ignoring these calls and contacting HSBC directly instead.HSBCCitizens Advice10 yearsI am convinced that this was undoubtedly an HSBC number.HSBC10 yearsWe've experienced the exact same situation ourselves.10 yearsIt's the same story for me! I missed the call and tried to return it, but it was a complete dead end. Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time with this - it reeks of a scam!10 yearsReceived an unexpected call but there was no message left behind.10 yearsI received a call at 18:35 but unfortunately missed it; there was no message left. I tried to return the call, but it just rang out and then the line went dead.10 yearsThis number appears to be genuine - it’s linked to HSBC.HSBC11 yearsIt appears that this could be HSBC. I seem to be receiving a barrage of calls from these individuals who are clutching at straws to get in touch, employing various numbers, one of which is 0800 783 1609. They have a rather annoying habit of ringing us incessantly at 9:15 AM, 2:30 PM, and 5:15 PM every single day, Sundays included! I must admit, their determination is commendable, but the intrusiveness is off the charts. We don’t owe them a penny, yet they cling onto our number and refuse to relent. Of late, they’ve also started using the number 0161 951 9924 to reach out.HSBC11 yearsIt turns out this was HSBC after all, and I must say, we don’t owe them a bean! Once we confirm it's them, we’ll definitely be shutting down our account.HSBC11 yearsThis number definitely doesn’t belong to HSBC.HSBC11 yearsOver the course of the last month, this number has called us a staggering forty times! The times seem eerie - 8:15 AM, 12:15 PM, 5:15 PM, and 6:15 PM, to be precise. Initially, we answered the calls, but all we encountered was silence on the other end. We attempted to return the call, yet it was met with nothing but a void. This has been reported now, as the incessant nature of these calls is utterly outrageous. There should be measures in place to tackle such harassing behaviour - it’s simply unacceptable.11 yearsWe've received calls from this number previously, and more often than not, it’s some woman with an accent that we can’t quite make out. It's incredibly frustrating as these calls tend to come in at the most inconvenient times, like just when I’m heading to university, right when I’m trying to sleep, or during work hours. Frankly, we find it utterly absurd, so we’ve decided to either block them or just ignore the calls altogether!11 yearsI recently answered a call from this number, and the individuals on the other end claimed to represent HSBC. They insisted on obtaining our date of birth before they would proceed to clarify the purpose of their call. Naturally, we withheld any personal details and requested that they send us an email instead. We intend to visit our local branch tomorrow to verify the legitimacy of this number. I will keep everyone posted about the outcome. My advice is to refrain from sharing any information with them; all they seem to have is our name and phone number, which seems rather suspicious!HSBC11 yearsTried to give them a call again, but I couldn't get through.12 yearsAbsolutely. This number belongs to HSBC's collections team. If you've received a call from them, there's a strong chance you might owe some money. It’s wise to settle your debts, consider changing your number, or simply ignore their calls. One thing's for certain - once they have your details, they won’t stop chasing you! They're as relentless as a dog with a favourite toy, it seems!HSBCSubmit Your Own Report (0161 951 9924)
