Got a call from 0161 912 3164, a woman with a really thick Asian accent asked for me by name. She claimed she wasn’t trying to sell anything and it would just be a quick chat. When I asked what the call was about, she repeated my address and postcode. I asked again what the purpose of the call was, then she just asked if that was really my address. I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from 0161 912 3164, bloke had a really thick Indian accent and he knew my name right off. When I asked what the call was for, he said he had three questions to ask me. Got a call from some Indian call centre, a lady named Jenny but you could tell she had an Asian accent. I told her I don’t usually take calls from people I don’t know, and she suddenly shouted “then don’t waste my time” and ended the call right there. The company she mentioned was something like UK Habit!

This bloke called sayin his name was Jack and asked straight up for me by name. I said maybe, then asked who he was. He told me "Jack y** m***** f*****" then just cut the call. Watch out for any 0161 numbers from Manchester, I’ve had loads of calls from that range. Every time you block one number, they just switch to a different one. Total pain!

Got a missed call from this number but no voicemail or anything. Felt like it might be a scam so I blocked it straight away. Later, I tried calling back just to check and an automated voice came on talking about some household survey. It asked me to press 1 if I wanted to participate and to hold the line. I just hung up instead. I’m always cautious with surveys cos they can be a sneaky way to get your personal details and scam you.

Got a call from an 0161 number, came up as possible scam. I picked up and a guy with a strong Asian accent was asking for me by my name. I asked who it was and they just said alright bye and ended the call. The voice sounded like someone in their late teens or early twenties. Definitely a scam, so I blocked the number and wouldn’t recommend answering.

I’m so done with these calls. Probably at least every week I get a call like this. The person, often with a strong Asian accent - could be a man or a woman - asks questions like how old I am or if I own my home. I never say a word and just end the call immediately, then block the number. But no joke, just a few minutes later they ring from a different number, which by then I’ve already blocked too. It’s getting ridiculous.

They kept probing with loads of personal stuff like my postcode and if I owned my place. Then they wanted to know my age, but when I wouldn’t say, they just cut me off.

I got a phone call earlier and when I picked up, the bloke on the line had a strong foreign accent and said his name was John Smith, but I couldn't make out which company he was with. I mentioned I was at work and couldn’t really chat, but he kept pressing me. He somehow knew my name and even asked if I lived at a certain address, which I told him was wrong. Then he wanted my full postcode but I refused and just hung up.
